I absolutely understand that life happens and that things change! As long as you let us know you won't be able to make it at least 72 hours ahead of time, you can reschedule whenever another spot becomes available. This typically will take at least a month to get back on the books. Your deposit will be transferred to this new appointment.
If you cancel or reschedule within 72 hours* of your appointment, you will be required to pay $50 to schedule again.
Cancelling appointments greatly affects me as a small business, especially with the limited slots that I have made available during this time. This disrupts my schedule as I am not able to move someone into the position in that short of notice; therefore forfeiting one of my limited slots. So, please be thoughtful in scheduling and understanding of how cancellations affect the business.
*This excludes sickness, exposure to COVID, or emergencies.
**Please don’t lie about being sick, exposed, or in an emergency. I will find out :)

Health, safety and cleanliness have always been my highest priority. Due to Covid-19, TRUE EDEN Studio is taking extra steps to prevent the risk of infection and create a safe environment. Please make sure you read and understand our new shop protocols before your appointment. I am immunocompromised, so your compliance with these health and safety measures are extremely important.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness like sore throat, cough, fever, headache, etc. you must reschedule. If you come to your appointment with even mild symptoms you will be sent home.

This is one of my favorite parts of the process! As an artist, I love working on bringing the vision to life, but it is also one of the most difficult parts of the process. Each design takes hours to complete and it is directly based on the expectations given during the request process. I work very hard to meet your needs, while also making design decisions that will translate well into a tattoo.
Your design is sent for review within 1-2 days of your appointment. If you have a few minor changes / add or subtracting of details, then that is totally fine! I want to know all of those things before the appointment. That way I can have the design completely done before you arrive. I want you to love your tattoo and am more than willing to make appropriate changes to meet that need.
Examples of minor changes / edits to your design:
Adding or subtracting small elements
Moving elements around to shift balance
Examples of major changes that will require more than 30/45 minutes of edits:
Changing or shifting the entire shape or elements of the design
Redesigning the main structure of a piece
If you receive your design and upon review realize that you want to redesign / request major changes that will take more than 30 minutes of drawing, then you will be required to pay an extra $50 for changes. This is due to the fact that I have already spent up to 1-2 hours designing so far and redesigns will require a large investment of time.
Though I am absolutely open to making changes and recognizing when I have not drawn what you expected, I ask that you not use the drawing / editing time to decide what you want. Please, either know what you want and express it clearly, or be flexible. I can only go off of what is requested of me.
I have found that almost every design is approved immediately, especially when I have been sent a thorough request with clear expectations. The best way to approach your design is to be clear in what you want the visual to represent, but allow me the freedom to create it!

Freehand requires a high level of trust between me and you. Though we might have never met before the appointment, I am trusting you to communicate your needs and desires with me, while you are trusting me as an artist to bring it to life.
Any expectations on design / flow would be best shared BEFORE the appointment. Though, most of our decisions will be made in person, knowing what you are thinking will help me be prepared to honor what you are desiring.
I work best when I am trusted as an artist to create something that will flow with you and your anatomy. This is done best through floral / nature, as that is my specialty. If you have a specific thing you want included, which is outside of what I typically hand draw, please ensure to communicate that before your appointment.

Cash payment is preferred, but I also accept venmo and cash app. I also have a card option available, but it will include processing fees on top of your payment.
There is a bank across the street from the studio if you need to get extra cash upon arriving!
Appointment Prep:
SKIN: Gently exfoliate the area of skin and lotion a week prior to your appointment.
SHAVING: Please, do not shave. Wait until you get to your appointment and I will shave the area as part of the skin prep. There is a high chance of you nicking your skin and causing irritation or an open wound, therefore making it a space that cannot be tattooed over. This is not pertaining to legs or regularly shaved areas of skin.
NUMBING CREAM: Please do not use unless you have discussed it with me prior to your appointment. I do not have a problem with it, but can change the texture of the skin and I need to be involved in the process if you choose to do so.
WHAT TO WEAR: Wear something that will give us easy access to the desired area. You can bring layers / options to ensure you feel completely comfortable while you are getting tattooed. I also have drapes and can cover any part of your body that you do not want fully exposed.
Leg / Thigh - I have found that dresses / skirts work really well. Or wearing a bathing suit bottom that can be untied on the sides. Something loose that can be moved around and adjusted to access the space.
Sternum / Rib - A loose sports bra and shirt that can be pulled up
DRINK WATER: Please arrive to your appointment having already eaten a healthy meal that will sustain you during your session. Bring water and some healthy snacks if you have a long session. Your body is going to directly respond to the tattoo based on what is fueling it. All eating or drinking will be done outside. Please do not drink alcohol the day before your tattoo.
PHOTO: I love taking a good photo of your piece when we are done. That way, everyone has couple quality photos of their new tattoo! Solid / neutral color clothes work really well with tattoo photos because it allows the tattoo to pop and nothing distracts from the visual. This is just a recommendation. So, please dress for comfort and in whatever you would feel happy being captured in!
Post Appointment:
Please leave the Saniderm cover on for up to 48 hours.
Remove the cover immediately if you notice that your skin is getting irritated around the edges of the plastic OR if the corner peels and exposes the tattoo.
Take it off by running it under hot water. While running it under the water, peel a corner up and pull it away from the skin. Then, slowly pull the plastic off. Similar to a command strip, rather than a bandaid.
Clean the tattoo with an antibacterial soap and pat it dry. Then, apply a thin layer of aquaphor.
If needed, apply aquaphor up to 2 times a day. After the first week, you can transition to using lotion if needed.
Continue cleaning it when you shower and after sweating.
Do not itch, scratch, or pick your healing tattoo. Remain out of direct sunlight and do not go in a pool during the entirety of your healing, as this can cause damage.
It takes up to 30 days to fully heal.
