Why Eden?

The book of Genesis outlines the story of all creation. Since the beginning of time, creation has been laying the foundation for how the world operates and exists. The Garden of Eden represents the first physical place that was created. This was the first display of the Creator’s artwork. God painted and Eden was the piece of art. It was the perfect place; it held no pain or wrongdoing. His power, His goodness, and His truth were all represented through the formation of the beauty within this place.

When I began to pray over a name that would represent the work that I have been called upon to do, the word, Eden, would not leave. As I continued to ask God how He wanted to describe it, He kept repeating the words, “It is True.” It was in those moments that I began to realize the Truth of every question, of every thought, and of every creation pointed directly back to the Garden of Eden. 

This is where God has directed me to go. I have been called to create in and from that space in the beginning of time before sin and suffering set in. What is most important and powerful is the Truth that all are welcome in this space. Every one of us has the opportunity to go back to the beginning and be welcomed home.
